With distinct four seasons, North Henan Medical University is located in Xinxiang, northern Henan Province, only away from Zhengzhou, the capital of Henan Province for over severalmiles, also faces the ancient capital of Kaifeng across the river. Formerly known as Sanquan Medical College(established in 2003), it was restructured into North Henan Medical University in February 2025 with approval from the Ministry of Education of China. The university currently has two campuses,the Xinxiang Campus and the Pingyuan Campus,covering an area of more than 2,000 mu(equivalent to approximately 133 hectares).
